The MOLLE II Canteen / General Purpose Pouch is one of the most versatile and ubiquitous components of the modern soldier's load-bearing equipment. While designed specifically to carry the standard 1-quart U.S. military canteen and its nesting metal cup, its utility has made it an essential general-purpose pouch for a wide variety of items. Dressed in the current OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern), this pouch is a durable and highly functional piece of kit used to carry everything from water and rations to ammunition and medical supplies.

Key Features

Dual Functionality: Expertly designed to hold a 1-quart canteen with its cup, but its size and shape make it perfect as a general-purpose pouch for MREs, multiple rifle magazines, smoke grenades, night vision goggles, or other similarly sized items.

MOLLE Attachment System: The rear of the pouch features two heavy-duty vertical MOLLE straps with reinforced snaps, allowing it to be securely attached to any PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) webbing on a plate carrier, assault pack, or belt.

Secure Closure: An adjustable Y-strap with a durable quick-release buckle ensures the contents are held securely, even during strenuous activity. The strap can be tightened or loosened to accommodate different loads.

Side Pockets: A defining feature is the pair of small external pockets, one on each side of the main pouch. These pockets have hook-and-loop (Velcro) closures and are perfectly sized for carrying water purification tablets, small first aid items, or compasses.

Durable Construction: Made from rugged 1000 Denier Cordura® nylon, the pouch is built to withstand harsh field conditions. A metal grommet at the bottom provides drainage to prevent water from pooling inside.

Insulated Interior: The main compartment is often lined with a soft pile or fleece-like material that provides a modest level of insulation, helping to keep water cool or prevent it from freezing as quickly.
