This is a genuine U.S. Army issue rucksack, as issued to hundreds of thousands of soldiers worldwide.
Along side the "assault pack" and main pack of the MOLLE II system, the medium rucksack was introduced in 2009 as the goldilocks pack for size, long-range comfort, and feature set. It features a high strength polymer U-shaped frame that redistributes the weight away from the spine to the user's hips. Additionally, it leaves a gap that allows for more comfort while wearing a plate carrier, attaching a MOLLE II hydration pack, or simply more airflow to the user's back when empty.
The shoulder harness and hip belt are a step above the Assault pack without getting too bulky; it features a more padded hip belt with 2 PALS rows to attach additional pouches or accessories. The shoulder straps feature the very same quick-release buckles and adjustable sternum strap with the addition of height adjustment on top to further adjust where the pack sits on the user.
The pack itself is divided into three pockets, two on the outside and a main pocket. the main pocket features a sleeve with a nylon strap cradle to carry large format radios such as the SINCGARS or ASIP radio, but is large enough for 3L hydration bladders. Additionally, there are two nylon pockets designed for 60mm mortar rounds if you're lucky enough to have one, but they make for good organization pockets too. The top exterior pocket features a small organizer for admin gear like a notebook and pens, and the bottom has 4 internal organizers for batteries, night vision, or other small items.

from 36 reviewsThis was purchased as a gift for my son, who loves military surplus. It matches the description online and it's in great condition; he wears it as his regular jacket.
Very happy with the condition of the pouches and the awesome deal.
Everything ordered was in the condition described or better. I am very satisfied with my order. I plan to order again in the near future.
Just as described, shipped and arrived quick, I recommend ordering from here!
Product came as described. Even though it was previously used it showed very few signs of wear. Product had good coloration and does not show signs of fading or delamination. Good quality product for the price, would buy again.
Set arrived as described and well packaged. In terms of being used gear, the equipment showed only light use and appears to have a lot of life left in them. Looking forward to using them!
Forest City is an amazing place to order military surplus. I was most satisfied with the pricing. They didnt try to rip me off unlike most other surplus companies. And shipping was super quick. I had my order in 3 days.
Rachael was extremely helpful and helped me pick the items that fit my needs best! Prices are more than fair and overall purchasing experience was great!
Awesome value. I bought the cheaper one. “Defect” or whatever. It has two small pin holes in it that I easily felt with by adding a blob of duct tape. Other than that perfect condition.
There was no weight info on the listing. I weighted it; 2.1 pounds.
Way lighter than a tent. I roll my mat and bag up inside the bivy and lash to outside of pack.
Highly recommend this company to everyone looking for Military Surplus I have already gave out the information to several friends definitely will shop here again
