This Canadian Bacon was manufactured in 2025 by a large military defense contractor. Although actual use is always classified on these kinds of products, our information is that these are purchased for Executive Branch use, not for our troops in the field. That usually means these go to underground bunkers for continuity of government use by strategic military leaders, congressional members and sometimes even White House staff or leadership.
This Canadian Bacon is made of boneless loin, an elongated muscle with little fat. Cured and smoked to perfection, so it translates into delicious Canadian Bacon that is guaranteed to please you and your family. We opened several cans to try these out before we committed to such a large quantity, and this Canadian Bacon is absolutely amazing: tender, juicy, cured and smoked, very tasty and as fresh as the day they were flash frozen and dehydrated!
Each can contains 16 oz of freeze dried Canadian Bacon. To prepare it, just soak desired amount of Canadian Bacon in water for 2 hours and serve. They come out of the can looking just like regular Canadian Bacon slices.
Canadian Bacon can be used in numerous dishes and recipes: Eggs Benedict, breakfast hash, omelet, sandwich, or served on the side with pancakes. It doesn't have to be strictly breakfast dish, you can chop it on pizza, toss with pasta, or even slice it in a bowl of soup. The possibilities are limitless!
You can expect to get 25+ years out of them in the can - and probably as many as 30 to 40 since there is no water or oxygen in the can to spoil them!!
Once opened they will last:
- up to 1 year in a Zip Lock bag with refrigeration once opened but not re-hydrated
- up to 60 days in a zip lock bag without refrigeration once opened, but not re-hydrated.
- up to 5 days in the fridge once they are re-hydrated
These are perfect for storing and using for many years! You can have a great tasting food in minutes with no mess and no waste - and it doesn't matter if the power goes out!!! You can open just one can at a time and in two hours serve one or as many of these as you want however you would serve Canadian Bacon!!! Perfect for camping, boating, travelling, or at the cabin.

Let customers speak for us
from 112 reviewsIf you have ever had a woobie, you know the value of these. The ones I received were color blemishes but in great shape and had same utility at a quarter of the cost. Shipping and communication was quick, thorough, and detailed.
I found these to be a great bargain and would confidently order again.
Great selection and fashion shipping. Surplus at its finest.
Product exactly as described. Has that surplus smell. Fast shipping. I will definitely buy from again.
Although "Unused" is the highest product rating at FCS, no Bivvies in that category were available. I got the "Very Good/Excellent" instead. It is high into the "excellent" end - no visible wear whatsoever, all "functions" intact, clean and ready for action. I don't know if it got washed or what, but it also had no trace of the old, milsurp "I've been stored in a mildewy warehouse the last 18 months (or years!)" stench. Smelled like...new GoreTex. Speaking of which - You're never gonna find an actual GoreTex bivvy in the civvy market for less than $150, minimum. Great deal, good service, happy customer.
Looks brand new. They even let me pick the color I wanted. Very pleased.
I've finally run across a local, credible, trustworthy company. Where have you been all my life? Product arrived in days, not weeks. Product was in better condition then I expected. Looked brand new. The handwritten note was the closer. We share a common loss and I'm happy to see you pushing thru, it is so difficult.
Carry on
Great stuff, usually much better than description and if not, they have great customer service. I am generally a really grumpy old man with a terrible attitude but I have not been disappointed by Forest City Supply products or customer service on the rare occasions its needed (but they are quick to respond and reconcile any problems!). The world may be going to hades but I will do it well equipped. I highly recommend them.
Order arrived on time and in good condition
Both the intermediate cold sleeping bags & the bivy covers conditon were better than anticipated
The Ruck appears to be a new one. I was expecting a used one. The price was well worth it.
Saw this brand new woobie and added it to my cart without thinking. Heard these had been found and other surplus sites have them listed for way more. No wonder they sold out so fast. Definitely a new favorite site.
Great deal on a perfectly good pack. Condition exactly as described with one small tear that doesn't impact functionality at all. Can't believe the prices these guys have with fast shipping as well. Recommended to a ton of friends who also picked some up. Will continue to use going forward for surplus needs.
