From Forest City Supply in Cleveland, Ohio, comes the authentic U.S. Military issue 9-Strap Modular Sleep System (MSS) Compression Stuff Sack in Black.

This is the genuine issue stuff sack (NSN: 8465-01-398-5428) from the original Modular Sleep System (MSS), renowned for its incredible durability and unmatched compression capabilities. Unlike standard compression sacks, this model features a total of nine heavy-duty straps—four vertical, three horizontal, and two on the top flap. This design allows you to apply even pressure from all angles, shrinking the bulkiest sleeping bags and clothing down to a fraction of their original size.

Made from heavy-duty, water-resistant nylon, this sack is designed to withstand the rigors of field use. While it's the perfect companion for your military sleep system, it's also an exceptional choice for compressing any bulky gear for camping, hiking, or travel. A drawstring top with a barrel lock and a protective top flap ensures your gear stays secure and contained.

Features:

  • 9-Strap Compression System: Offers superior and more even compression than newer models.
  • MSS Component: Designed to hold the entire 4 or 5-part Modular Sleep System.
  • Durable Construction: Made from rugged, water-resistant nylon.
  • Secure Closure: Drawstring top with a barrel lock and a protective top flap.

Key Details:

  • NSN: 8465-01-398-5428

  • Made in the USA: Genuine, high-quality military surplus.

Was as described , a little used but a lot of life left in it. No defects. I cleaned it up and dyed it for my area. All in all I would buy another one if needed. Very happy with the gear!
