This "All-Purpose" formula is specifically designed to bond with Nylon, Cotton, and Wool—the three primary materials found in military surplus.
Dyeing UCP/ACU: The most popular application. A bottle of Apple Green turns UCP into a highly effective digital jungle/tropical pattern (often called "Apple-UCP"). Dark Brown or Tan can shift the pattern toward a functional arid or coyote scheme.
Restoration: Re-blacken faded tactical vests, plate carriers, and holsters that have been sun-bleached.

Which Dye Do I Need?
Rit All-Purpose (This Bottle): Best for Nylon web gear (Cordura), Cotton Canvas, and NYCO (Nylon/Cotton blend) Uniforms. This covers the vast majority of standard-issue surplus equipment.
Note: If you are dyeing 100% Polyester items, you will need Rit DyeMore for synthetics. Always check the tag on your gear first!
Pro-Tip for Dyeing Nylon Gear
For the best results on heavy nylon gear (like rucksacks and mag pouches), we recommend the Stovetop Method. Maintaining a high heat (just below boiling) helps the nylon fibers "open up" and accept the dye for a permanent, non-fading finish.

I jumped the Gun when I reviewed the 5pc Load Carrier giving it only 3 stars because I could not adjust the size. Forest City showed me how to do it with a video. The last load carrier I had worn was the Vietnam Era LCE/LBE.

This is a great service offered by Forest City Supply; the ability to select the grade of your items. I have ordered the same poncho liners from Sportsman Guide for the price of Very Good grade, just to return the liner due to holes and tears. The Good Grade liners make fine dust covers for your spare beds. I am very pleased with my purchase.
It's exactly what it was supposed to be. I needed something to fix my ICS seams where the tape has peeled off. I haven't used the sealant yet but I'll more than likely be buying another complete repair kit just in case I need it and don't have it.
