Take the weight off your shoulders and build the ultimate tactical loadout with the genuine USMC Sub-Belt, commonly known as a "War Belt" or "Battle Belt." Designed as a critical component of the Marine Corps' Family of Improved Load Bearing Equipment (FILBE) system, this padded belt is engineered to redistribute the weight of mission-essential gear—like ammo pouches, IFAKs, and canteens—directly to your hips, reducing fatigue during long rucks or operations.

Manufactured in the USA to strict military specifications (Mil-Spec DTL-17001A0001) using heavy-duty Coyote Brown Cordura nylon, this belt features a semi-rigid internal structure to prevent sagging under heavy loads. The exterior is lined with three rows of PALS/MOLLE webbing, giving you a fully modular platform to customize your pouch placement.

Key Features:

  • Official USMC Issue: Authentic military surplus gear, combat-tested and built for maximum durability.
  • MOLLE/PALS Compatible: Features three horizontal rows of webbing to securely attach all your tactical pouches, holsters, and gear.
  • Padded Comfort: Thick internal padding and a semi-rigid design prevent the belt from digging into your waist or twisting under a heavy load.
  • Suspender Ready: Includes built-in mounting points to easily attach a standard FILBE suspender harness (suspenders sold separately).
  • Heavy-Duty Buckle: Equipped with a rugged, quick-release front buckle for easy donning and doffing, even with gloves on.

Sizing & NSN Reference:

  • Small (NSN: 8465-01-615-5120): Fits roughly 27" - 31" waists | Features 16 columns of MOLLE webbing.
  • Medium (NSN: 8465-01-615-5140): Fits roughly 32" - 35" waists | Features 20 columns of MOLLE webbing.
  • Large (NSN: 8465-01-615-5141): Fits roughly 36" and up | Features 20 columns of MOLLE webbing.

Whether you are setting up a range belt, upgrading your survival gear, or completing your FILBE pack system, the USMC Sub-Belt provides a reliable, modular foundation. Select your size and preferred surplus condition from the dropdown menu above.

Exactly as expected.

Was as described , a little used but a lot of life left in it. No defects. I cleaned it up and dyed it for my area. All in all I would buy another one if needed. Very happy with the gear!
